The plot of the film revolves around a court hearing where a verdict is delivered in the case of a Puerto Rican teenager accused of killing his own father. Twelve jurors decide the boy's fate. For the crime he faces the electric chair, and all the evidence points to the fact that he is guilty. At first glance, everything is obvious, and all the jurors agree with the prosecution, except one who does not support the majority opinion. The problem is that according to the judicial laws of the United States, all twelve jurors must be unanimous in its decision...
